Apple Scotch Cookies

1 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. soft butter or margarine
2 eggs
1/4 c. milk
2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 1/2 c. chopped apples
1 c. seedless raisins
1 (6 oz.) pkg. butterscotch pieces

Cream together brown sugar and butter. Add eggs and milk; beat well. Mix and sift flour, baking powder, salt and spices; stir into creamed mixture. Stir in apples, walnuts, raisins and butterscotch pieces. Drop by tablespoons on well-greased baking sheets. Bake at 400 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Remove from baking sheets immediately; cool on racks. Makes about 4 dozen cookies.
